Video instructions on how to hike from Brod to the old Macedonian Smuggling Pass. This is an extra resource for those looking to hike this path and would like to see what it is like and where the map will take them. For a written explanation on how to reach the mountain pass, including a map click this link.

What do you think? I’d love to hear your comments on the video and the beautiful area of Brod, Dragash.

Really magical views from the top. Would love to see the surrounding peaks with snow, like in your video. In which month was this video taken?

Great views of the Dragash region! I am planning a cycling tour of Kosovo this summer (2011) and I want to go from Prizren to Mavrovo in Macedonia. Is is possible to cross the border into Macedonia by following the road South of Restelice? I’ve seen a couple of photos of the border post (http://www.panoramio.com/photo/8632130 , http://www.panoramio.com/photo/19132279) but can you actually get your passport stamped there? I am a UK citizen.

Hey George, funny, as I’m writing a hiking guide to Dragash as we speak and I just wrote the biking section from Restelica to this border stating :) No, it is not possible to cross hear as there is no Kosovo border station to check you out of Kosovo. There are a few border crossings here that are only open to locals (no international processing). Sorry, as I know it is so tempting to be able to cross into Marvrovo from here. We are working on it!
